The purposes of providing access to WASH services include achieving public health gains, improving human dignity in the case of sanitation, implementing the human right to water and sanitation, reducing the burden of collecting drinking water for women, reducing risks of violence against women, improving education and health outcomes at schools and health facilities, and reducing water pollution. Access to WASH services is also an important component of water security. Universal, affordable and sustainable access to WASH is a key issue within international development and is the focus of the first two targets of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6)
In 1996 created Job opportunities to needy people specially woman through producing Ketchup and Tomato sauce which was functioned up to the year 2000.
In 2002-2003, SWSO contributes with EC/Euronaid the research mission in food security program for vulnerable families through the research findings, provided vegetable different seeds in Parwan, Balkh, Herat and Kandahar Provinces.
From 1996 – 2000 SWSO through need assessment findings conducted tailoring project, mainly blanket production with financial support of ACBAR and International Committee of the Red Cross Through which job opportunities created for 500 women.
In 2003-2009 – SWSO team contributed with ministry of Counter Narcotics through conduct of baseline survey in 28 Provinces of Afghanistan.
In 2020 SWSO Provided Mushroom production training in Home for AWEVSO in District four.
In 1997-1999 SWSO through partnership with COFFA conducted need assessment survey in Kabul Provinces on relief need and MESM improvement need.
The SWSO organization participated in an exhibition on 1st December of 2022 which was held in Kabul Afghanistan for women producing products in addition other products the Afghani clothes which were made by SWSO were also displayed.
In 2015 SWSO contributed jointly with Telecom Company a need assessment survey and at the result provided T-bar system for HLP project in Kabul and Parwan Provinces.
